Some Tea and a book (Krillo) Empty
PostSubject: Some Tea and a book (Krillo)   Some Tea and a book (Krillo) EmptySat Jan 12, 2013 2:13 pm

It was just another day in Shirokiri Forest. Suna in her ideal spot in the abandoned playground surrounded by trees. The only little clear carved out piece of land was the spot she was sitting in. An abandoned sand play ground, with rusty seesaws, slides, swings, and spin-arounds. There was also one rickety wooden picnic table, and she was laying on it with a book in her hand, if anyone cared to see what the book read it said, "Lolita" a book she had read before and decided to give another read through it to absorb it better. Sitting on top of the picnic table was a large thermos and a bag. In the thermos was some black vanilla tea and in the bag was a few cups. Once in a great while someone else came to this secluded area in the forest and she always liked to have cups for other people. Although she didn't always enjoy the company of others, especially when she was nose deep in a book of this caliber, and a classic ta-boot.

Laying on the picnic table she turned another page which was the end of the chapter and she placed her magnetic book mark on the page and put the book on the table. As she slid up to her butt and opened the thermos. The sweet aroma filling the air and the heat escaping the top as she took in the sweet aroma closing her eyes. Then she opened them again and poured herself a cup in these delicate little tea cups. Blowing gently at the top of the cup and then taking a small sip. Suna couldn't forget that she also had a few snacks, some cookies perfect for tea and a few sandwiches to eat. Sitting there peacefully drinking her tea, and idly eating a few cookies as she opened her book with one hand and started reading. Slowly becoming absorbed in it again and forgetting the word around here.

Now this was a problem. Sure, he told his sister he'll be fine, but perhaps it was a better idea to take a ride or something instead of walking around the world...? Maybe so, but what Elfman was worried about was his rather high Reiatsu emitted from him, thus attracting Hollows to attack, and that could get many innocent people involved in business they should never bother. There were also rumors of some weird hero having to do with spirits in this city, so here specifically would be a bad idea to catch a ride. Despite all that in mind...

"Roooaar!! Where the hell am I!?"

... He was completely lost. His large hands on his head, the huge human let out a shout as a flustered look was plastered over his scarred face, yelling out to the skies for no particular reason. This was a beautiful day, a few clouds here and there and the sun still shining powerfully, heating this very rare winter weather. With loss for any direction, Elfman found himself wandering this foreign forest in aim to somehow - or someday at least - reach a city of the sort where he could settle, though at the way thingshave been going... It was more or less a lost cause. He started running, his hooligan jacket flopping in the wind as his Geta sandals made wood knocking sounds with each of his heavy steps. This environment was fairly hard to run in, through all these trees and bushes, plants of all sorts. But it was futile: no matter which direction he headed for, Elfman still failed to find any helpful resource.

Eventually, he grew fatigued - even if it did take a while. Grasping for air, the tanned man bent a little, leaning his hands on his bent knees and looking down to the ground. Shortly, Elfman resumed his search for any signs of civilization, taking off his jacket and pacing rather swiftly, an uneasy expression on his face. He held his jacket with his left hand, the article of cloth hanging right over his shoulder, his red A-shirt now revealed along with his large arms.

Finally, he found someone: a lone girl sitting alone by a picnic bench in an abandoned playground. A lone girl in with a petit frame, in this random maze-like forest. A lone girl with nearly an entire side of her body covered, reading from a book. Elfman was taken somewhat off-guard upon this soothing sight, his eyes slightly widening and his shoulders loosening up. Standing there for a few seconds, it finally hit him that this person could somewhat be of use.

"Excuse me,"

He started, planning at first to ask her how to get to the nearest city - but then noticing the goods around. Elfman then submitted to his hunger and his question changed unexpectedly.

"M-, May I join you...?"

Suna was deep within the confines of her book, completely lost to the world around her. This book posed a great moral dilemma on what was right and wrong. Yes, the main character was essentially a pedophile but it seemed as if the girl in the book was alright or went right along with it, and the way the interacted was odd to say the least. It felt like a mutual relationship to her. Although she had never been in a relationship herself so she couldn't tell form experience if it was parasitic or not. The howls in the forest went unnoticed even if she was deep enough in the forest that she shouldn't of heard them. The obvious foot-steps should of set her off, and the minute the mans sandaled feet touched her sand should of sent a shock-wave through her being that someone had invaded her territory of the playground. Although all this was oblivious to her, because when she was reading a book the whole world disappeared around her. A nuclear bomb could go off miles from her and she would be oblivious to it until the shock-wave finally hit her.

Suddenly she heard a voice, "Excuse me" and this startled her greatly. To the point that her book was tossed into the air and she fell backwards right onto a bed of sand that suddenly came to meet her so she wouldn't be slammed into the ground. Her feet were sticking up and out from the picnic table. Out of pure instinct at being startled a small wall of sand came up to block her from her 'attacker' and the sand abruptly started sliding its way towards the unfortunate person who startled her. Her thoughts easily running a million miles an hour without any thought of the person who startled her, only that she needed to defend herself. Although it wasn't until the wall was almost going to hit her opponent that she finally came to terms with what he said. Before the wall could topple him over it suddenly sank into the ground as a little wave of sand washed over his feet, making unbalancing him a little bit but nothing that would hurt him.

Being lifted back up to a sitting position on the table she finally spoke. "D-don't startle me like that! I was reading!" She raised her voice unintentionally at him, as she suddenly put a hand over her mouth, and adjusted her hair so it covered the burnt side of her face. Puffing out her cheeks a little bit as she let out a huff of air. "My apologies..." She said as she picked up her tea and had a small sip of it, before placing a small cookie on her tongue and chewing on it. "H-have a seat, I'll pour you a cup of tea..." She got another cup out of her bag and sat it down, before opening her thermos and pouring him a cup and putting a few cookies beside it. "I don't usually have company out here..." She trailed off... Wondering if he could feel the abnormal amount of hollow reiastu that was coming off of her, and if he could feel the amount of hollow reiastu that seemed to be sunk into the sand. Considering the fact this place had been her training ground for years the whole area had this ominous feeling to it.

Idly sipping her tea she didn't make eye contact with him, all of a sudden becoming self conscious of her scars again.

PostSubject: Re: Some Tea and a book (Krillo)   Some Tea and a book (Krillo) EmptySat Jan 12, 2013 4:45 pm

It's really amazing, how the saying 'never judge a book by its cover' is true in such striking ways. He was taken aback by the innocent sight, even further when that girl suddenly tossed her book in the air, her body falling at the sandy ground, thus neutralizing any chances of Elfman sensing Reiatsu around. However, what did intrigue the Fullbringer was obviously what came to follow, at first failing to notice the extreme danger thanks to his gaze locked at the flying book, opening further in mid-air and the pages flipping thanks to the odd angle it was thrown in, the bookmark booted out. He looked at it for a little time, asking his question and only afterwards watching the upcoming, unpredictable assault made at him by what seemed to be the very same sand wall this girl caused over falling backwards. Though, for it to be capable of offensive properties, it had to be infused with some kind of Reiatsu, as far as Elfman knew, despite lacking time to sense it. He only briefly managed to stiffen his body, flexing his chest to reduce damage dealt, even if only by instinct feeling he's mostly in danger in that area. Though as it appears, the wall of sand was but a gust, blowing at his feet and slightly forcing against them.

The girl raised up, still somewhat startled by Elfman's sudden appearance, raising her voice at him. Usually, this man would take it oddly offensively, these two following reactions that is, perhaps hinting that he's to say the least - not handsome, but in this particular case he managed to brush those I'll thoughts off. His mind was on a different matter, that would be the reason, his eyes soon widening even further before narrowing back to a regular stare. The image he picked up disrupted the dilemma in his head instantly, that would be the reason, and what currently occupied his thoughts was the disturbing image of many burn scars on her face's right side, right before she redid her hairstyle to cover most of it. In second glance, her neck appeared to show the very same pattern and over suspicion and regaining his guard, Elfman finally picked up the Reiatsu of where he had just entered. He didn't have too long to dwell on those though, as the petit girl had just accepted his request to accompany her.

"Ah, thanks."

He let out, somewhat uneasily, as he made his way towards the opposing seat while forcing his expression into a smile, getting a rather awkward one. He headed towards the opposite bench not only because it would be rather rude and weird to sit next to her all of the sudden, but also because of the sole fact his physical size wouldn't really allow him to do that without pushing the girl. Elfman was still concerned; as he made his way, the abnormal amount of Hollow Reiatsu was finally picked up, gathered from the ground, the estimated area of the doubtful sand wall and most disturbingly - from the girl as well. Aside for his two thoughts, it made him wonder if she could sense the high amount and mixed Hollow Reiatsu he himself possessed, for in his body right now dwelled the bodies of 9 different Hollows in last count - one had to leak out some power.

Taking the seat, he picked up the cup, attempting to speak before sipping, deciding on the first subject. But it didn't exactly go as planned.

"You're- HOOOOOT!!!"

... Well now. Any sane person would take it Elfman was not. He shouted out loud as his tongue felt the extremely high temperature of the black vanilla tea, in quite the large amount, and with his implied statement's unfortunate pre-released meaning, a new sentence was born. An astonishingly bold, out of place sentence. Standing up with the shout, he stopped mid-way, realizing what he had just done and making the brave decision to ask about his concerns later on, after things have become less... Awkward.

"Ah, sorry, I didn't mean to yell like that!... And, that's black vanilla tea, right? Did you make it yourself?"

He tried to brush off the noticeable action right now by quickly changing the subject, displaying small knowledge in cooking. Elfman used to be the cook in the family, much to anyone that looks at this brute's surprise.

Suna watched him with a neutral gaze, not making eye contact but not exactly taking her eyes off him either. Although she suddenly realized he was a lot taller than she realized, possibly even a foot taller than her, more than likely if they stood face to face the top of her head would come to his chest. Her eyes growing a little wider as he sat himself down opposite to herself, hearing the picnic table creak as the weight of the man sat itself down on the rickety wooden seat. Using her sand she felt out her book and book mark and let it glide across the sand and soon found its way back into the seat beside her. Her pseudo-hollow mask had already been forming. Starting at the bottom of her neck as it slowly crawled up the upper part of her neck and the back of her head. Trying to find the place in her book, not giving the man in front of her much attention she heard him pick up the cup. A small sip was heard before he yelled something that was part unintelligible. Her book flying into the air again as she held the book mark in other hand as she looked visible startled.

Her one visible eye wide with fright as her right hand came to her chest to feel her heart beating a hundred miles an hour. Why did this man have to be so loud? And didn't he see the visible steam coming off the top of the cup? Trying to catch her breath as she watched him with a wide eyes, her eye brow raised up in curiosity, as he was stood up half way and finally sat himself down again. As once again the book glided across the sand to rest back on her side of the picnic table. The man now speaking more quietly this time as he talked about the black vanilla tea, asking her if she made it herself. "Y-yes I did.." She said her voice quivering a bit from all the excitement this man was providing her as she picked up the book again and looked for her place in it. Finally finding it and placing the book mark there, before tucking the book in her pack with the rest of the sandwiches and cookies. Nibbling on the edges of a cookie as she wasn't exactly sure what to say to the man, the burn scars on her right hand quite visible as this was the hand she was using to nibble on the cookie.

Her other hand grabbing the tea cup as she took a polite sip then proceed to sit it back down. Her eyes stopped being so wide and her brow had since fallen down. As she occasionally glanced up at the man but never wanting to make eye contact with him. Kind of just feeling him out as she could feel a hollow like reiastu also coming from him. It seemed people were attracted to her secluded place in the forest, and it seemed no matter how often she tried seeking the alone and peacefulness of this spot she couldn't find it. Quincies, other Fullbringers, and now another Fullbringer, it just seemed like she couldn't get away from these types of people lately.

Her lips pursed, she wanted to say something, and she opened her mouth to say something then quickly closed it, it was almost likely the man didn't even see her do this because it happened so quick. She wasn't sure what to say to him, he had tea, some cookies, and now her company, and she expected it to be another dull day where she could just get in some reading. Oh, how wrong she was, since this man seemed to be the polar opposite to her in every way.

He further complimented her as he sat down, watching in the corner of the eye as the book just glided, drove to her seemingly, just as soon as it fell with a thud over the sand. He payed high attention to it after giving full comment about the delicacy he was treated to. As a former chef, Elfman held the ability to appreciate at least that much. "It's really well made! As a man, it's a real pleasure to taste this! The cookies are great too! What did you use as a main? I could d-... Tell my sister about..." Slowly, his odd compliments turned into a stream of irrelevant words creating yet another awkward position for the gargantuan Fullbringer. To silence himself, he took yet another sip from the excellent tea, not burning his tongue this time but indeed dwelling on the pleasuring taste. She was really good, even if it was just tea. Closing his eyes, Elfman let out a sigh before taking yet another, rapid sip from the glass, holding it in the most polite way - much unexpectedly froma man of his caliber.

Putting down the cup, Elfman exhaled once more before wearing a serious expression once more. He had failed to notice her self block, not quite catching her mouth opening. It took him a few seconds to become disturbed quite much by the silence they were enveloped by, as a result of neither saying anything to the other. He watched her gently biting at the small cookies, noticing the heavy burn scars on her right hand. So far, he picked up half of her face, half of her neck and the entirety of her right hand being burned previously, feeding his curiosity further until finally it burst out through the blocks of politeness in the form of a rather silent, serious question. He picked up a strange appearance from her. He picked up an odd attitude from her. He even picked up a Hollow's Reiatsu emitted from her. This girl, she was far from normal, enough to have Elfman completely hooked up, anticipating a good answer he could dwell over. "Your burns. They're from a Hollow attack, right?"

Feeling he should at least elaborate on where did he get such a pinpointed assumption, Elfman continued, leaning forward as his back bent, one forearm placed on the picnic table. There was much he wanted to ask her, many conclusions he got to from only watching everything that happened until now, in that very small amount of time he spent around this girl. "I may not look it, but I'm a medium myself. Your scars are emitting a strong Reiatsu wavelength of those monsters, and not for nothing I'd guess. But for those to emit Reiatsu so violently like that..." He took a break, sensing the surrounding Reiatsu once more, only to notice the essence - or more like, the smell of Hollows had grown stronger. Either a Hollow was nearby, or her own Reiatsu was further released. "... You'd have to play some role too. Hollow Reiatsu can't be concealed, but for it to send such wavelengths would require your own to be strong. Humans that possess Hollow Reiatsu... You use Fullbring too, don't you?"

Elfman's glance narrowed as he sipped from his tea once more, even making an assumption about her Fullbring's ability. The sand from earlier, the book right now, they were enough evidence as they were, because no phenomenon could ever explain such a natural effect. Though, for the moment, these two questions alone will do.

PostSubject: Re: Some Tea and a book (Krillo)   Some Tea and a book (Krillo) EmptySat Jan 12, 2013 6:03 pm

She took his words with grains of sand, since she had made the tea but it wasn't like it was made from scratch. It was just a special brew she had bought had made in a tea pot before putting it in the thermos and carrying it along on her journey, even the cookies were bought but the sandwiches were made herself. Each sandwich containing either turkey or ham, then they had slices of salami, peperoni, lettuce, onion, tomato and a light glazing of mayo to savor it all up. Each individual sandwich tucked away in her bag where her book no lingered. His words mished and mashed over one another before soon enough she had no idea what he was talking about, his compliments forming into a sentence that seemed to run together as she just stared at him, trying to take it in. She remained silent through it all before he finally stopped speaking and instead starting taking a sip of tea once again. Herself taking a sip of tea before they became enveloped in silence and it had been many minutes before a word was spoken, although honestly she didn't mind.

The wind rushed through the trees, the few leaves that were left fluttered around, and the rusting swings swung and creaked as the wind rushed through them. Suddenly he asked a question which could of visibly knocked her out of her seat if she didn't have a hand on the table before her. He asked her about her burns and she looked down to her tea and cookies as she visibly tried to cover herself up more. Putting her left hand over her right, as her hair all but now concealed the burns that she made an effort at hiding. Even wearing a hat so when she walked past people she could cast a downward glance and hide it if anything. She felt him lean forward and she noticeably leaned back from him. Grabbing the cup of tea with her left hand as her right hand disappeared under the table and she took an idle sip from it. As he soon validated his assumptions of her burns. Talking about the kind reiastu her scars emitted. It seemed at this point she was mentally and visibly shrinking in on herself. As if she couldn't get any smaller her reiastu also seemed to not be as over bearing as it usually was.

Although the place still had a heavy hollow reiastu to it. Considering how often she used the sand here, the hollow attack that had taken place several months ago, and how often hollows wandered here in the dead of night looking for a meal to eat, only to be disappointed when they found an empty area full of sand that gave off the strong presence. Finally the man stopped speaking, and she finally had room to talk. "I don't want to talk about my scars, and yes I am a Fullbringer..." Was all she uttered out, and in all honesty she didn't feel like talking about her scars. If he was getting that kind of vibe off the scars couldn't he just put two and two together and know it was a hollow attack? A majority of the right side of her body was burned horribly from that attack and some of the burns even lingered to her left side during the fight with the fire breathing hollow. She had defeated the hollow but not without a ever lasting scar that she knew she'd never get rid of no matter how much she wished it to be gone. She felt horrible now that she wasn't being the conversationalist that she had been with Sora, but Sora just felt a lot different from this man, and maybe less.. cocky?

"I'm not used to visitors here. This is my... territory you could say. I'm sure you can feel it that I've been to this place more than once, my training and my battles still linger in the sand..." She uttered out before trailing off again. As she grabbed at the edges of her mask and visible ripped it off, as the pieces hit the sandy play ground they formed into clumps of sand. She didn't feel like forming her entire mask now, for he would just ask more questions. Although her face showed mixed emotions when she tore the mask off a painful pleasure if you will. It was liking ripping her own skin off but she had gotten used to it that she almost took joy in the pain that it emitted, it made her feel alive and more like her old self then the new person she felt she was becoming. Although she stopped using her Fullbring, and the growing of the mask stopped visibly at her neck, before it fell off entirely and escaped neatly out of her clothes and to the ground below.

PostSubject: Re: Some Tea and a book (Krillo)   Some Tea and a book (Krillo) EmptySat Jan 12, 2013 6:39 pm

Jackpot. He was spot on, her tone alone aside for her body language being enough proof. She really was a Fullbringer, even admitting to it and hinting on the true nature of her abilities, something Elfman had already assumed but decided to hold off. He asked too much already, and the response he got wasn't really one to further welcome any more questions, thus there was need to change the heavy atmosphere. Elfman ignored the fact this girl ripped off whatever it was that stuck on her neck, and no longer could he feel the Reiatsu emitting from her as powerfully as it did previously. It would seem she had stopped the constant release of her Fullbring's ability, making the atmosphere somewhat even heavier. Elfman couldn't let this girl, who had treated him kindly to wonderful tea and cookies, feel down by his fault. Somehow he needed to cheer her up, and it didn't seem like she liked his rather clumsy, ridiculous actions. Those were an unfortunately bad habit of his, something the large man was incapable of preventing. Therefore, he could try a different approach. In truth, by listening to her and noticing her implied words, Elfman felt somewhat closer to her. He could always draw the story of how he killed his own sister to further his misery.

His forearm lifted off from the table swiftly as the man's back straightened, looking at her with a truthful, wide smile. "Don't let it bother you so much!" He cheerfully said, his free hand waving slightly, telling her to brush off the burden she apparently redrew at herself. He needed a good reason besides his curiosity to tell her, making no big deal whatsoever of this case. "See, I'm a Fullbringer too, and you kinda made me curious, is all... But you know, our kind, it's better if we stay close, who knows what could happen with us." Not the best of lines, but his kind smile was as real and welcoming as possible. His head tightly tilted to the side, Elfman's eyes narrowed to seemingly a couple of lines as his proud and string-willed attitude was forced forward. He could absolutely not talk about anything that has to do with scars, simply because this girl might feel even more uncomfortable with the large man.

His justifying sentence was the last to come. "That's why, if you allow, I could tag along and protect you as a man! My name's Elfman Strauss, nice to meet you!!" He joyously declared, suppressing his Hollow Reiatsu using his human one, then concealing it. He didn't really want to keep discussing Fullbring now and assumed she wouldn't either, so a change of pace was once more welcome. Elfman didn't really think of what to say, but he most certainly tried to bond with this female, that might have taken an Ill image from him right off the bat. He wasn't too familiar with the book she had, neither did he have any interest in it, but there really wasn't a much better topic to bring up - until he was reminded of the reason he came here in the first place. He needed a city to stay in and work, get a legal Rolf over his head and eat like a normal person and not a beast, despite being physically and perhaps mentally closer to the latter, if at all. It would be so convenient if later on she could lead the way.

"Are you a resident somewhere near?" He asked before putting a cookie in his mouth and munching it, devouring the whole thing in a matter of less than 20 seconds, longing for more but not feeling too good about asking for seconds.

She watched his back straighten as he stopped leaning in close to her and she decided to lean back into the table a little bit since she was so far from the seat that she could of fell of if but a small gust of wind hit her. He made a wide smile and spoke to her, uttering words that were close to Sora's as she let out a small sigh and took another sip of her tea. Opening the thermos as she poured some more into her own cup and his before closing it and sealing it up tight. The steam radiating off their cups as she looked up at him as he talked. Then he stated he was a Fullbringer to, and it wasn't like it was obvious at all. She could feel his reiastu, then he made an act of chivalry that wasn't odd to men who seemed as cocky at him.

Then suddenly his hollow reiastu became smaller as he was repressing it like she was. Then as the silence soon enclosed them again he spoke up and asked if she had a residence some where close. "I have a residence in Karakura with my parents.. I have a rather large room actually..." She let out a little bit of a happier sigh. Glad that they were off the subject of her scars. "Also... I don't require protection.. I can protect myself.." Her voice almost became a hiss as she said this last sentence. Now because of her scars he was assuming things, assuming that she was weak because she couldn't defend herself from a hollow that was much powerful than her. She had never seen one that strong, a hollow that is, and it was odd for it to come out during the day like that. Usually they only came out during the night but it was a rare occurrence they showed themselves like that, she was caught off guard, and she was out powered. It was only through the sheer will of her pseudo-hollow mask that she was able to fend off and finally destroy the hollow by surrounding it with a ton of sand and crushing it inside.

"Don't underestimate me Strauss. I got these scars, but I'm still alive."She said with an angry tone to her voice as she looked up at this cheerful man who seemed to not have a care in the world. Despite the fact that he angered her, and possibly it wasn't intent she dug the few sandwiches out of her bag and put them on the table. Opening one for herself and putting the other three within arms reach of the man across from her. There was two ham and one turkey left and they all had the same exact thing on it except the main meat. She nibbled on the edges of her sandwich first eating the crust before she actually started to devour the main sandwich. Taking small bites here and there. "Forgive me. I take offense to thinking that I need protection to live. Even if you may be stronger than me, you are... on my battle ground..." A small smile appeared on her lips as she took a sip from her tea cup. Her hollow mask starting to form up her neck again this time she let it. She wanted to form the entire mask now, to show him that she could be stronger.

Oh, great, she really did have a house nearby! Sure, he could never bring himself to the level of asking her to host him, but he could request she guided him to the city so he could get himself rooftop. Though, in the fictional event that neither her or her parents would mind, Elfman will be discovering the dark world of a teenage girl's room, either to his delight or to his horror. He quickly dispatched such thoughts, sticking to his main purpose, but not really being able to continue as a result of the girl here's concern, which he already left. What he sought in her was not a little pet to protect, it was the acknowledgement that someone else that carries the pain of a Fullbringer exists, for both of them, simply because in his 20 years in life, only his sisters were Fullbringers besides himself. He needed to know there was someone else there, and despite how similar it seemed losing a comrade like that would just cause him further sorrow. He already accidentally killed one of his own sisters, the closest person to him in the world, with his damned Fullbring going out of control.

Slightly waving both hands with a tasty sandwich in his mouth, Elfman tried to shake off the fierce attitude this girl brought upon, not interested in taking a fight, not right now that he was eating, stuffing himself with goods of all kinds to his delight. "No, I wasn't trying to say something like that..." His comment was late though, and he felt her Reiatsu building up once more. A clear sign of intimidation, she wanted to prove she could defend herself - and if it meant allowing hereto, Elfman would gladly play along, watching as slowly the sandy surface started coating her face in what appeared like a Hollow mask, but different. They were probably most different in that, he absorbed Hollows whereas she let one out. Needless to say, this giant's ideals were getting somewhat in the way of leaving from here without a scratch. Choiceless - or rather, giving up on the option of finding an easy solution, Elfman then grinned, matching his power with hers.

"Are you... Posing a challenge?" His blood started to boil. Elfman stood up, rising from his seat and walking away from the bench's range in 90 degrees, comprehending that this might get ugly. If it will, endangering the food and tea this girl brought with her will be a clear sin, a disgrace for a man. He couldn't waste away food, thus left the range. Shaking his knuckle a little, he widely grinned, almost like a beast or a Hollow prior to beginning a chase after prey. He was not really in a dominating position, for this one was correct: every grain of sand reeked of Hollow Reiatsu, most likely hers too, meaning she had very clear home advantage. Maybe it was best if he wasn't only testing her resolve and actually displayed his full-body forms. "In that case, as a man, I accept your challenge!! The man Elfman will now see your resolve!!" He yelled out in pride, Reiatsu already engulfing his right arm. He was now ready.

Some Tea and a book (Krillo) Empty

Her hollow mask had already started running up her chin and up the top of her head. It was coming on quicker this time since she already tore it off once. As she listened to him speak and suddenly his power matched hers and he asked if she was posing a challenge. She didn't even have time to answer as Elfman stood up and walked far away from the picnic table where the food and drink sat. He shook his knuckles a bit and then he stood there in a fighting like position as he accepted a challenge she had never uttered. Although she supposed now that he had started it now she had to try and finish it. Stepping up out of the picnic table she stood a mere twenty feet from him eying him down as the hollow mask got closer and closer to consuming her entire head.

She held out her hands as if she was holding a bow and in her head a bow suddenly formed made out of sand as an arrow suddenly formed. The sand of the arrow compressing itself to a solid stable arrow as she pulled the draw string back and let it go. Aiming at the man as she was waiting to bide time for her mask to fully form so she could get the full extent of her powers. Without even thinking she fired off a second arrow, distracting him from the fact as several disc like projectiles flew from the ground aiming lower as she was aiming higher, but they also fanned out in a wide arc trying to hit him from several areas. Hopefully this diversion tactic would work until her hollow mask was fully formed, as she readied up another arrow and fired it at him. The smile on her face leaving as the sand formed over her mouth. Forming a gaping maw that had rows and rows of teeth ready to consume who ever dared to get to closer to her.

In the end, it really did become a challenge, in the chaining of events that in hindsight, could have easily been prevented. Elfman readied himself for whatever was coming, keeping a close eye at the girl's still forming Hollow-like mask, consuming a large part of her face and already hiding her so detestable scars. She made the first move, forming her Fullbring in the shape of sand-made bow and arrow, firing it directly at the brute as the start of some barrage. The first arrow, Elfman dodged by turning his large body, grinning at her until he saw the second one approaching. Having no time to avoid, he let out a cry of power as his right arm was brought to his front, changing then to an oversized arm made of steel, taking the arrow and showing nothing but a scratch. With living steel, he was better protected, but Elfman could not foresee the upcoming sand discs aimed at various of his body parts. Would he have wanted, he could simply change his arm to a more quicker one to swing at the discs and attempt destroy them, but he didn't. Most of the discs, those that didn't hit his metal arm, landed a direct hit, ripping through his clothes in arc of blood and sand.

"Ack! Ungh!..." He cried out, resisting falling to his knee. Her resolve to prove herself strong was indeed great, but the fact Elfman was superior in endurance remained, the dripping blood soon stopping. The third arrow, Elfman punched with his steel arm, shatterring it down back to sand. She was dangerous in home advantage, undoubtedly, but Elfman still assumed she could go further and thus provoked her in attempt to have her make him enter at least a full-body form. Right now though, his armored arm was the only thing in display. "Is that it?" He cockily asked, sneering at this girl whom her name he had not even knew yet. Of course it wasn't it, he thought, but it was important to draw out her full power faster. If he could only attack as he wished, this could have gone much easier - but the table was in the way, not to mention he never intended to actually hit her, not right now. "If you're man enough to challenge me, come at me with everything you have!!"

She growled at him as she put her hands down as the sand bow dissipated in the thin air. Her mask finally forming a seal at her brow. First she had no eyes to see with then little almond shaped eyes formed form the depths of the mask. Two almond shaped eyes that were no longer the beautiful purple that they usually were but deep red eyes filled with hate. Something you'd see a hollow bearing not a little girl who was a foot smaller than this man. Then her gaping mouth which seemed dark and endless was filled with rows of teeth as she let out a hollow like roar towards him. "DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ME! THEY ALL UNDERESTIMATE ME!" Her voice sounded like several voices at once and it was deep unlike her voice. Twenty feet to the right of her, and twenty feet to the left of her a wall of sand rose up. 1500 pounds of sand to be exact, coming towards him, lucky for the both of them they were in a empty part of the playground. Without equipment and far enough away from their picnic table.

She ran towards him running with the wall as the wall came in front of her, coming to him in a tidal wave of unmovable sand or so it seemed. Screaming her hollow roar that could probably be heard a mile all around. As the sand from the wall in front of her fired dozens of sand projectiles at him. The sandy ground around him moved and quaked with her power as she could feel where he was and she didn't even need to see where he was. She could just feel him through the sand as the dozens of sand projectiles fired from the wall threatening to consume him. As the wall moved quicker and quicker threatening to flatten him, once it was within range the wall would collapse down around him. Threatening to consume him if he let it, and once the sand would fall around him she would tighten her fists, crushing him in the very center of all this sand. Crushing him until he was nothing but mashed bones and jelly.

Summary:
Wall of sand heading towards you.
Firing dozens of projectiles from it.
The ground is moving beneath you and unsteady.
Once the sand gets close enough the entire wall will fall on top of you.
Once you are consumed inside of the sand then Suna will crush you in it.

There it was: it looks he found a weakness in this girl, and that was exactly what he pulled; quite the lame tactic, but luckily he did get to muster a lot from this girl for the challenge. If she was to challenge a real man, better use everything she has, or he won't take her seriously, because if you're a man you fight with everything you've got. For this reason exactly, Elfman found himself careless of the fact he was standing on the clear homefield of an opponent, managing to stand confident even when fully aware that she has the advantage, daring to go as far as provoking her to use her full powers to bring him down. It was all in the end part of the fun in a man seeking his romance fantasy. He grinned widely during his taunting words, showing a cocky side but in truth interested in what power this girl possesses. One thing Elfman had to make sure though - not to go on the offensive, but keep defending all the time, perhaps pull a feint once as the battle challenge goes on.

Though, much to Elfman's surprise, they were much more similar than he had anticipated, albeit on slightly different measures. The Hollow-like mask that covered the girl's face seemed to somewhat alter her smell too, aside for the new voice and probably temper. The man found himself facing no longer a little girl, but most likely a very powerful Demi-Hollow. He did not want to meddle with that, hoping this petit girl there would have stayed the same instead of boasting the freaky mask that reminded him so of his own abilities. Right now, this was more of a battle between two Hollows, because Elfman's steel arm was originally that of a Hollow too. The thrill of challenge somewhat diminished due to these horrifying images, but in truth somewhere, he was glad to see she was capable of defending herself; capable of threatening even a real man of his caliber.

After her shout, the girl used her Fullbring over the whole field, bringing up a huge wall of sand aiming at Elfman - little did he know the controller being behind it. Standing his guard, the man then guarded against the numerous sand projectiles aimed at him, swinging his metal arm at the sand forms thus shattering them using his monstrous physical strength. Though short did it take him to realize this is not enough, as the twenty feet high sand wall is still approaching. The most likely way would be to avoid any kind of damage by taking distance, but then he wouldn't prove himself a true man now, would he. For real man, the only path would be straight ahead, charging, and thus he made his decision on a counter. Even if he'd tried going against that wall and by chance win in a match of brawn, her territory relies in every single grain of sand around, putting Elfman in a real disadvantage. One he had not considered he might meet.

"What!?" His legs suddenly began sinking in the sand, proving her abilities far greater than what the man had expected, of anybody: he was sure her sand abilities resided only in materialization of weaponry, not free conjecture and manipulation. With that at hand, the giant had no choice but to ignore the upcoming projectile barrage. "In that case... Haargh!!" He punched the ground with his extra-weighting, augmented steel right arm, sprouting sand in every direction and freeing his feet. Just as soon as the impact was made, Elfman disabled his Fullbring and leaped up, distancing himself from the ground but still being in the range of the sand wall. With all projectiles aiming at him - some even hit directly - he had little options, and even considered using his grand forms on her to minimize damage dealt to him: challenge or not, this truly was dangerous.

And then an idea came up, as the sand wall approached. "Monster Deck: Maguma!!" He right arm transformed into a furry bear's arm as Elfman prepared for the worst. The projectiles were still fended off by the human's body, barely managing to defend and dodge while airborne. As soon as the sand wall would arrive, the human would grab it. And then...

She felt the impact of his steel hand on the ground as the small area around him was cleared of her home advantage. Then she could see him as his feet left the ground, many of her sand projectiles that were firing from the wall now hitting him as he was in a vulnerable state. Then his arm changed into something different, something furry with claws, this was no matter. Suna would show this, this chivalrous man that she could take care of herself. That she wasn't just some weak little girl that people had to take care of, that these scars were a sign of her surviving just like Sora had said. She would fight until she could no longer move her limbs and even then she'd gnaw at him with her teeth if she had to, her resolve was great and perhaps her will even stronger. As the wall came in close at him she slid one foot back and placed another forward as she aimed her hand out palm forward. Sending the wall of sand towards him and once it hit him it would then collapse right on top of him.

Of course she let the wall go as soon as she sent it at him, projectiles no longer being shot out of the surface of it. The next thing she did was unexpected. Since she could control sand within twenty feet of herself at the moment she could use it as stairs. The moment her foot came onto one stair step, and went to the next the last stair step would disappear as she literally ran right up into the sky. As she formed literal spears of sand and started tossing them at her foe beneath her. Using everything she had against him, to try and get him off guard. She was beyond pissed, all she wanted to do was cause harm to him which wasn't in her usual nature. She could usually care less for the people of this world this is why she never let anyone get close to her, or catch her off guard, and this man had went beyond pissing her off and now she was throwing everything that she had at him. As she threw the second spear, the first one still heading down at him she clinched her fist, splitting the large spears now into three smaller spears as they headed down towards him. Standing in the air meters from the ground, what she deemed a safe distance from her foe judging the battle field.

Then she decided that this battle was no longer worth her time, and by riding the sand through the sky she left the battle field quickly from her opponent.

Doctor is the member of the month. Ever since he joined, he's been extremely active, and really knows how to get things moving plot-wise. He was recently promoted to staff as well, and so far has shown great enthusiasm. He's also a friendly presence in the c-box, which is never a bad thing.

Gray is character of the month. Apparently one of the more popular characters on the site, well-known for his habit of stripping, which isn't good enough for Ulqui, but seems to do the job for his numerous IC fangirls. Has also earned (EARNED, not bought) numerous stat points in the past few months. Side note: Anyone who speaks of a gilf pairing will be shot on sight. :U
