So everyone but Yamamoto is alive, but if Kenpachi and Byakuya might not wake up it's the same damn thing as killing them off e.e So what the fuck? And they should be able to keep their captains positions, especially Kenpachi o.e They can't afford to leave a division unprotected right now..

I don't see how Kenpachi was even fucked up enough to be in that condition, certainly not as bad as Byakuya. Speaking of Byakuya, his fucking zanpakuto disappeared. Doesn't that happen when a shinigami dies? Also that might be why he can't continue as a captain.

It was all right, but I was really caught up in it last week, thinking Bleach was finally going to end, and he cliffhanged our asses. Still not cool with it. ewe

It still needs to end soon; I think everyone can probably agree with that

@Hash: He wasn't really, but maybe when Juha or Juha's clone threw him to the ground he got his head knocked? I dunno..And Mayuri can probably restore his zanpakuto somehow, I mean he fucking blew his own zanpakuto up enough times to know how to fix 'em right. But Byakuya's didn't disappear completely, we saw it beginning to fade, they could've gotten to him and stopped the process before it did completely; least that's how I'd logically see it.

The reason Byakuya might not be able to carry on is cause he's lacking his Bankai...Well, As Nodt is dead, so I'm assuming those doing a sweep of the decimated SS will find the medallion things and Squad Twelve will find away to release the Bankai from them; and because Ichigo is now part Qunicy *rolls eyes* he'll probably have to help them work the medallions, cause probably only Quincy can.

Also, can we assume that Hueco Mundo is like, just generally not important right now? Even though it's been what, four months or so since that chapter and we STILL don't know who the fuck killed Kirge? e.e

And it's also safe to assume that Ichigo's Quincy-ness *rolls eyes again* is probably why his Bankai couldn't be stolen.

I suspect he's fine, Squad Twelve is probably patching up that giant ass hole as we speak...Er, type >.>

I just realized that me and my friend were ripping so hard on quincies and talking about how much we hate them after Byakuya supposedly died in that one chapter... now I'm technically playing a quincy. =w= The shame. Well, it's AU, so i could either take advantage of blut and keep it, or say fuck the quincy part.

Lol be like how it happened in the plot, just fucking use it right when you're about to die, and ignore it till then XD

I thought this chapter was fine compared to everything from before and it helped confirm that Unohana didn't fight because she wasn't allowed. And, as expected, Kyoraku is stepping up. Also, I think the not taking up their captain roles just means they are crazily injured and won't be able to go to the captain's meetings or lead the divisions in battle for a while. It didn't sound like an indefinite period.

@Nyc: I had a feeling, it made sense why she wasn't out on the front lines; and again, not really shocked he's stepping up, he might seem lazy but he'll step up to the plate when he needs to and be serious.

Possibly, but again, Byakuya was the only one seriously injured from battle; Kenpachi took far less damage in comparison. Kenpachi'll be up and ready to go before Byakuya no doubt.

Byakuya's death should've been absolute. Frankly, it would be stupid to leave him alive.

@Jay: I kinda have to agree with you here, given what happened in this chapter; if Kubo was just going to make him comatose then he might as well have been dead >.>

It would have better fit the story if he died, even though I'm probably being targeted by Byakuya fangirls as I type this. I mean, that scene where he was crying and asking Ichigo for help really seemed to seal the deal. The zanpakuto disappearance really seemed symbolic of him dying. Really, even though it was sad, it was a nice reference, and then Kubo shat on it by saying he's still alive.

Even though I'm glad he's, well, technically alive, you're right; especially with all that time he spent implying he was dead/dying and stuff, it also would've been great for the character development. But I suppose the comatose state can be just as effective.

The only reason I'd have an issue is the fact that Kubo's fucked in who he lets live and who he kills, if one of the less important or more useless characters had been killed off with him I wouldn't take it so bad.(although I'm one of the Byakuya fan girls XD And still would've been upset) I'm pissed that Omaeda is still possibly alive while the head captain is dead...Basically, I don't understand how Kubo determines who lives and who dies, especially considering that the useless lump of fat still walks the Seireitei e.e

He's a comedic relief character. xD They never die, no matter what happens to them.
