| It only took something simple to make her smile. Hitomi sat upon a rooftop, looking over the streets below her. People were peacefully going on with their days a few rushing under orders from their squads a good amount doing the exact opposite as they goofed off under no orders. How short lived her heavenly smile was as she settled back on her own little current problem.
The blonde wished she was as lucky as those she watched who did as they wished. Due to her predicament the stealth force lieutenant had to sneak away to some area where she could not even see the outline of her barracks over the never ending rows of roofs she had raced across to get to where she was now. Still waiting there on her desk was just a few papers she had been given days prior, procrastination and plain not wanting to do it causing her to flee. Sure she had been instructed to finish it days ago but her captain was nice, understanding, forgiving woman. A knot formed in her throat and she felt her porcelain face pale even more. "I'm was so dead" and how well she knew it to be true. The lieutenant could picture Soifon's face flames rising up behind her as her wrath radiated off of her. "She's so scary!" Hitomi cried out, curling in on herself in her panic. "Doomed, doomed, doomed..."
Sighing out softly she tried to relax her nerves, closing her eyes and doing her best not to not envision a soon to come death. "Everything....will be...wonderfu-...goo-...fin-...survivable" She finally found the right word. nodding to herself. Her eyes opened once more, long dark lashes fluttering to reveal large, icy blue irises. She ran a thin fingers back trough her soft hair, mourning when she felt no ribbons or fragile flower petals there. The cost of trying to do work was not getting out to get new flowers when the others died. She'd locked herself up with the idea of for once getting paperwork done and had spent the entire time, pen in hand glaring at the god forsaken words printed in front of her. "So not fair..." she mummbled, crossing her arms over her chest with and unashamed pout on her lips. She might have been trying to get away from the life she had known but at heart she was still a pampered noble who to some degree expected everything. Everything being one that included: no paperwork, to be able to get fresh flowers daily, and to not have to hide out at some place even she barely knew to escape her captain.

| "You know what!" Hitomi suddenly burst out to no one in particular, not aware of how loud she was. "I'm just going to tell her I'm not doing it!" The blonde stood up on the rooftop, determination flashing in her visible light blue eye. She raised her tiny fist into the air with a motivation to her new plan. A proud laugh emanated from her throat, echoing throughout the street below her. At that moment she finally realized the looks she was getting. Standing on the roof was some girl who none of them recognized, spouting nonsense to herself and striking poses. The lieutenant lowered her fist slowly, her wide smile turning into a frown as a deep blush made her face burn.
"Ah...Good day..." she stammered out, taking a few steps back. She waved her hand slowly, putting on a nervous smile as her other hand ran back through her hair. "Just...checking in is all...heh" A second later she turned on her feet, dashing down the row of buildings. Hitomi kept her head down, sure her face was still dusted over by a light pink shade. Her plan had completely been forgotten, not that she would have gone through with it anyway and as she darted back towards the area around her squads barracks she was once again determined to hide away once again. | |
