-Mutated Experiment- Originally, Duke had been an ape that was a test dummy for a cure for the zombie strain. The monkey, who had known sign language and such, had begun saying that "Mother Tree (This has been interpreted to mean nature.) is calling him and asking favors." The experiments continued, and eventually Duke mutated into this violently repulsive mutant. While the zombie strain has given it a particular taste for human flesh, it retains the need to mate and such that all animals have, and so may sometimes be seen trying to mate with a female zombie or another monkey, usually resulting the unfortunate subject's death.

As a monkey, it still has feelings, however it's feelings often cannot overcome the hunger it has as a zombified creature.

Biography/History: Duke was born as a normal test-tube monkey is; artificially grown. He was born and raised like all the others, and even put into a habitat to make him more comfortable, conversing and talking with humans on a daily basis. When the zombie virus came out, he was one of the first tested on, and the only to live. He mutated, rather than be cured, and wiped out the whole team of scientists, before shortly escaping into the wilderness, hunting down all of those that dare to encroach on what he deems as his territory.

Relationships: At one point in time had a mother/son relationship with a humanitarian in the establishment. The humanitarian had left shortly before he went ape. (Get the pun? Haha?)
