A Tragic End to a Demented Soul [IzumoXMikhail][Closed]

Mikhail wandered into the area, having smelled something utterly delicious. It smelled like... human flesh. When he had to fight for survival down in hell, that's what he consumed; the blood of the other Togabito. And here it was again, except more pure, but at the same time, even more tainted. He jumped from the building he was standing on, as he padded across the ground silently. "Come out, come out, wherever you are." Mikhail said, grinning as he sniffed the air from his mask.

Izumo panted softly, sitting on the ground and holding himself. His Captain's haori long discarded, and a long trail of blood leading to him. He was damaged, but far from out. He looked to the Togabito as he approached, shaking his head. Sure, he could always fight against the thing, but he needed to heal. Using Chishioyaiba too much more in his current condition would give the zanpakuto what it wanted, and Izumo had too much to get done for that to happen. His red eyes are the only thing visible to Mikhail, shining softly in the darkness of the shade provided by the tree he was under.

"Stray vulture has come to pick at the flesh of a seemingly dying predator..." He gets to his feet slowly, walking out of the shadow and into the moonlight, staring at the Togabito harshly. "I'm out now... What do you need, and hurry... I really need to find some first aid..." He sighed softly, not taking the Togabito as a threat as all, even in his current condition.

"I'm hungry, and I need to find her. You will help me." He said, as he pulled his cleaver off, running at Izumo with it drawn to the side, as he tried to bring it through Izumo's neck and lop off his head. The way he ran, attacked, it would be filled with holes and openings for a trained eye like Izumo. He was sloppy, to say the least. In fact, the way he attacked had little more expertise than the common animal. In fact, it looked like in a fight between an animal and himself, the anima would most likely win.

Izumo shook his head, holding up his hand to block the strike, gripping the blade tightly. It didn't even sink into the skin of his hand as he caught the cleaver. "How pitiful... Seems you are no more than an animal... Poor form... Poor attack style... You don't really know anything about the Shinigami, do you? It seems your life would be a hard one... Shall I rectify that for you?" Izumo shoves him back roughly and slashes his hand across Mikhail's chest in an attempt to spatter it with his blood. Regardless if that worked or not, his other hand would thrust forward, placing his fingertips on his chest if successful. Also if the attack hit, the blood on his fingertips would form very small needles and pierce into Mikhail's chest nearly painlessly, seeking out his heart instinctively once inside him. "Something like you has no right to live..."

Mikhail froze, as his cleaver was grabbed, and blood was splashed onto him. He took this as a sign of an insult, and narrowed his eyes. "Are you mocking me?" He asked, as he reared his head back, then brought it forward, attempting to bash his forehead into the Captain's face. As soon as his cleaver was touched, however, a scream emanated from it. A terrifying scream, at that, seeming to be something spawned from hell, tortured by a thousand hooks and needles. One scream would be enough to drive a weak-minded human insane. Three screams, possibly four, if they were strong-willed, would definitely drive any listeners into madness, if not a frenzy before then.

Izumo let go of the cleaver and gasped, actually being frightened by it. "Gahh! The hell is that?!" He looked at the weapon and frowned, catching the headbutt to his forehead, making Izumo stumble back. GRoaning, he straightened himself and shook his head. "My, my... You're rather bestial, aren't you?" He raised his hands, his blood within Mikhail's body surging and heating up within his heart. "You really should be put down... I suppose I'm the one to do the job..." Then Mikhail's heart would erupt in sharp pain as Izumo's blood circulated within it fiercely, not doing damage, but stretching muscles. "After all... I am a doctor..." Then he clenched his fist, causing the blood within and on Mikhail to crystallize into sharp spires of red glassy crystal, piercing out through his chest and into him through the streak of blood.

Izumo coldly looked to the dying Togabito and shook his head. "For what do you fight? Why do you persist? Such a lost soul like you has no true purpose... Except to feed the predators..." He walked slowly to Mikhail's corpse and knelt, thrusting his hand into his chest. Since Mikhail was dead, his blood was no longer his, making it easy for Izumo to assimilate. Soon, Mikhail was a cold, bloodless cadaver as his own blood rushed to heal Izumo's wounds, making him laugh darkly. "Don't worry... I'm sure I'll be getting more use out of your blood than anyone could... I'll use you to slay creatures you could only dream of taking on..." He stands, leaving the corpse right where it was, slowly walking away as Mikhail's blood healed him.

Mikhail fell back, screeching in pain as his muscles were stretched to the point of tearing. When the long shards flew out from him, he fell onto his back, the lack of blood pumping and circulating throughout his body already taking its toll on him. He'd been brain-dead long, long ago. This was just the topping on the cake. It was nothing more than the slaughtering of an animal, really; laying a dog to rest, you might say. One who had been a loyal dog at once, but had attracted a mean case of rabies, and had to be put down; and Izumo was just that man. So, with a final, peaceful breath expelled from his lungs, the light from Mikhail's eyes died, along with the rest of him.
