Archaic Seniors, Delusional Youngsters, and Matcha Tea [Invite; PL Event]

Yamamoto's reiatsu remained calm, stable but anyone who worked with him knew the inference he made already provided him with enough fuel for his emotions to burst out. Such a report could not make the captain happy. He hand-picked his subordinates. This one, Alice, had the mental strength and stability necessary to handle tasks the Captain of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads should have done yet chose not to do. "Children like her are not common. For them to have subdued her means they sent someone specifically charged and trained to take out someone of her caliber and ability set. They have made the first move." Yamamoto understood one thing in these situations. His grip pushed deeper into the cane cover of the great fire zanpakto. The role of his organization is to protect Soul Society. Though it made sense to be aggressive and press onto the arrancar, Central 46 generally expected him to act as a reflex.

His lieutenant Alice Scarlett and Kurosaki Ichigo lost to the arrancar. Division 12 had yet to give him any reports on any other abductions, but, considering they had not reported the abduction of Kurosaki Ichigo, reasoning could reveal that Division 12 either had yet to noticed what just occurred in the human world or they had too many processes and procedures to go through to report such mishaps. Despite all of this, Yamamoto needed to start the move against the arrancar, not because he wanted to protect Soul Society or do any favors for the substitute shinigami. The arrancar finally gave him the "ok" so he could move to crush them once again.

Considering he invited Saria for tea, the courteous thing for him to do involved him hearing her suggestion out. The moment she began speaking, though, he predicted she would suggest something crafty; a skillful way to infiltrate the enemy because of her background and her organization's craftiness. Nevertheless, her suggestion came across as ludicrous to the Captain Commander. His aged face and weathered body only stood in the breeze, motionless, showing no signs of whether Yamamoto approved of the proposition or not. The only statement he gave Saria in reply was "Prepare a universal method of communication where I can speak to all the Captains and shinigami deployed in the human world."

Bankai. Well, that may have gone farther than what Yamamoto originally expected, but he could care less. Saria lead the Kido Corps which acted as an ally of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads but it did also stand as its own faction. Their use of kido, the zanpakto, and everything else could not overlap with Gotei 13 or else Central 46 would demand they join Gotei 13. He just assumed her bankai had a more controllable reiatsu than the regular shinigami's zanpakto since she so readily released it. If he released his shikai, the calm hill with its lively green grass and easy breeze would turn into a fiery dungeon easily manifesting everyone's mental image of Hell. Had he released his bankai...

Saria reported she could relay the message not before beginning what sounded like her addressing a passerby or someone below her. She caught herself and spoke appropriately. Though some spoke to the Captain Commander in a regular form sometimes, those in such high positions as Saria spoke to him in a respectful tone as should be. He generally did not care how others spoke to him unless he grew angry. Right now, though, he simply wanted to get the message out. He needed the captains to start their move on the Arrancar since the Arrancar had already started their plans. Generally, he would have a captains meeting and have them send out some capable lower seats, but the Arrancar had already captured the one Shinigami he wanted to put in charge of such a team. The Shinigami would have to start investigating while destroying Arrancar and hell spawns alike and this required a great effort from all the Shinigami, save a few. If anything attempted to attack Seireitei, he would stay to meet them. The Shinigami moved into the action in media res but they would still come out on top.

Yamamoto stood tall upon Sokyoku hill with the breeze picking up around him. He kept his eyes closed and held onto his cane firmly as he spoke to Saria, giving her the message he wished to deliver. "The Arrancar have began their strike by kidnapping some of our members. All shinigami receiving this message are to research the hell spawns using whatever resources they have available anywhere, especially Karakura Town," a pause to let that statement digest. The Sins emerged in Karakura Town and allied themselves with the Arrancar, so it made sense to look there, but he tried to imply that at least one shinigami contact Urahara Kisuke to get any information from him.

He then continued with his commanding voice toward Saria and her beasts, "Unless told otherwise by me, destroy all Arrancar and Hell Spawns you find. Do not proceed into Hueco Mundo until further instructions are given." Another pause, but Yamamoto gave this one so the Shinigami could think of ways they could carry out these orders. He finished his message with the same tone, "This is a time of war. All shinigami are to carry their zanpakto at all times to strike down arrancar and hell spawn alike. Any information gathered should be reported to me immediately. Do not die, but kill all. This is an official declaration of war on the Arrancar and the Hell Spawns."

"Jusanbantail fukutaicho Takayama, please step back while I discuss captain matters with Gobantai taicho Haruko..."

While speaking his message to the shinigami, Yamamoto sensed one of his captains approaching, yet brushed it off to keep his train of thought going for his message. It was important. All shinigami must know of their mission. If the Commander did not act quick enough in commanding his forces, the enemy could strengthen or, worse yet, his jurisdiction could be usurped by the Central 46. Many would probably come and complain saying his decision was hasty and insane, considering the amount of reiatsu that would be in the human world with basically all shinigami on their way there, but his decision stood.

When Saria reported she successfully sent the message, the elder's hand loosened its grip on the cane and he breathed out a sigh of relief. The wind died down some, crediting its ascent to the powerful shinigami's solemnity and its descent to his relaxing. He got it out of his system. He nodded, his signature slow dropping and lifting of his head, to Saria when she said she would keep an eye out. "We will be contacting you for more information, since the 12th division captain is on duty." Once Saria exited from the area, Yamamoto turned his head to face Kakashei. More bad news... The aged man had gone through moments like this and, though he did get accustomed to them, he did not enjoy having problem after problem stacked on him. His lieutenant should have heard all these complaints before Yamamoto had to hear them...

He noticed the Lieutenant entry shortly before he decided to acknowledge the Captain of the 5th Division. Yamamoto had no idea what Kakashei planned to report - which is something that worried him - so he decided to work on each matter seperately. "Jusanbantail fukutaicho Takayama, step back while I discuss captain matters with Gobantai Taicho Haruko." A terse, boring statement from the Captain, but he could not gauge the importance of the message the captain had, save from the little information Kakashei already gave. Yamamoto would have to deal with the problem. He hoped no more casualties or the likes would come up. After waiting for Shintaro to move back out of hearing distance, Yamamoto spoke to Kakashei. "Haruko Taicho. Come foward and speak."

"We must convene..."

Yamamoto contemplated the sky in Soul Society. Conflict after conflict wore him down. Anyone who spent enough time with him would eventually catch on to his weariness. His heart had grown cold from all the times he has had to release the flames of Ryujin Jakka to save a comrade, subordinate, or even his own life. Yet, he would not complain and not even consider stepping down because fate had chosen this for him. The battle-hardened shinigami not only accepted this fate, but woke up everyday deciding he would make sure to fulfill his destiny. Though the threat continued to escalate; though his age outran the number line; though his foes emerged stronger, the permanent Head Captain of the thirteen court guard squads would stand.

Though a worthless pep talk, he thought things like this regularly to keep himself in the game. He could now handle more news. The grass crackled and shifted while Yamamoto leisurely turned his body to face the other captain. He heard the captain's story while he keeping a neutral face, his normal, blank expression, basically taking in the information and assessing the situation. He thought through the names Kakashei brought up, making sure he could remember all of them vividly. He remembered enough information about Izumo to know that his situation in gaining power befuddled some of the other captains already, so they could have tamed the captain before he lashed out, though the captain easily confused Yamamoto. They would have to vote for a new Captain of the fourth Division.

Yamamoto did not easily break ceremonial laws and traditions. He could easily name a substitute whom all the captains would all have to accept his decision and they would: most of them had worked with him for some years so they thought very similarly. Yamamoto allowed Kakashei to finish, but, once Kakashei did finish, the Captain Commander's answer came quickly and clearly with no faltering, "We must convene..." Yamamoto knew this would make the whole situation better. He would delegate his problems to others he believed could shoulder them. Once he uttered his words, from the air spawned several black and purple blurs which shot in all directions. "Kakashei, wait for me at the first Division meeting room. I have sent the hell butterflies to all the Captains. We will have a Captain's meeting as soon as enough Captains can arrive." Yamamoto then looked over to Shinataro and called out to him, "Jusanbantail fukutaicho Takayama come forward and receive your special mission." Yamamoto could not forget to assign the mission he wanted to give to his own lieutenant. Since the arrancar had captured Alice, Yamamoto decided to confide in another able Lieutenant: Takayama Shinataro.

"Jusanbantail Fukutaicho Takayama, you were recommended to do a very special mission..."

Captain Kakashei moved out of the area, battered and bloody, but understanding what Seireitei and its leader went through at the moment. The moon floated above the hill now, shining its ominous radiance onto the Captain who stood with the lieutenant. Once Shinataro approached him, he thought of so many shinigami whom started so simply and escalated to high posts just by being of service, whether they wished to or not. This night had a more ominous feel. So many odd problems piled on with so much reminiscing. Yamamoto could probably reach his limit any moment. He no longer woke up to see a beautiful sunrise, nor to enjoy his favorite tea - matcha: he woke up to protect others whom would one day die or pass on to different lives, while he stood unchanging. His life paralleled that of an undying vampire, living with several mortals to watch them move on, while he stood stationary. He just got older and older.

"Jusanbantail Fukutaicho Takayama, you were recommended to do a very special mission..." Whether the lieutenant had promise or not, Sotaicho simply needed someone to do the job of his own lieutenant and another Captain spoke to Yamamoto about Shinataro so Yamamoto decided he would have to do. The mission fit his lieutenant Alice well. At these kinds of missions, she could not fail. Yet, all this mourning and waiting would not help her recover. He needed to continue with his job.
"In the world of the living, there is a faction forming. Humans are banding together, according to some reports." When was the last time Yamamoto directly gave a mission to anyone? He generally gave his Lieutenant the details and she made everything necessary happen. He would eventually need to look for someone else to act as a proxy to her, because he could not do things such as this.


"Your task is to join those watching over Karakura Town to look specifically into the band of humans. They are all spiritually aware. I know you are not trained specifically for reconnaissance, but your skills should be enough for you to survive well. If you encounter any of them directly, remind them that the powerful eye of the Gotei Juusan looms over them anywhere they turn." As he spoke, his tone of voice grew stronger and much more serious. He reassumed his position as the great Captain Commander of Seireitei overall. He needed the motivational boost.
"If you have no questions, you are dismissed. Return once you have information for me. Avoid deaths and unnecessary violence. I will be in my office after the captain's meeting." Without another moment to contemplate or speak, Yamamoto vanished, leaving the Lieutenant to contemplate his quick assignment.
